Herring Gals is very much a family affair. Wives and daughters of Grimsby Morris Men we were tired of watching them have all the fun so in2014 we made a team of our own.

We have 3 sets of mothers and daughters and one set of sisters which makes practices interesting! We dance North West morris and use garlands sticks sllngs and handkerchiefs.We have been to many festivals and events in places such as Scarborough, Sowerby Bridge and Hull. This year we will also dance at York and Lincoln.

Our dresses are identical except for the inserts in them which are tailored to our interests from Alice in Wonderland to musical notes and dressmaking.

In 2021 we went mixed and added the + sign to our name
