Routes between Downhill Venues
The route between The Works and Saint Benedict's Square is a simple walk South along High Street crossing the river in front of Stokes' Coffee and continuing a further 30 metres or so to stop in front of the monument at Saint Benedict's.
To reach The Royal William IV from Saint Benedict's walk about 40 metres North, crossing the river and turning left into the narrow passageway called the Glory Hall. Follow this path, zigging right at the hairdresser's and then zagging left to come back to the riverside. Pass under the elevated road and stop outside The Royal William IV.
From the Works to The Royal William IV you can travel down the High Street and turning right into the Glory Hole before you reach Stokes' Coffee (turn right immediately after the phone shop) and then follow the path as above. Alternatively you can leave The Works and turn right (West) down Mint Street. Follow Mint Street about 130 metres to the junction with Guildhall Street then cross the road and proceed South down Water Lane to the riverside. From there turn right (West) again to pass under the elevated road to your destination.
To reach City Square cross the bridge in front of Stokes, heading South (in the direction of Saint Benedicts) but turn immediately left and walk along the bank of the river until you reach City Square in about 100 metres.
