Saddleworth Morris Men
Home : Irchester, NorthamptonshireDance Style : Northwest
Saddleworth Morris Men are from the parish of Saddleworth. We have been together for 52 years having first danced out on Maundy Thursday (which happened to be April Fools Day) in 1974. We dance original dances in a vigorous North West style.
Over the years we have become well known for hats decorated with fresh flowers and our unique chevroned waistcoats. Our dancing season culminates with the Saddleworth Rushcart in August, the only solid built Rushcart in existence, and this year will be the 50th Rushcart.
